- Purchase environment-friendly shopping bags from your local grocery store, and use them
- Plant tree seeds in a place that doesn't have too many trees
- Pick up trash and litter from where ever
- Don't buy plastic water bottles, and just fill up a reusable water bottle
- Turn off any lights that aren't being used
- Take shorter showers, 5 minutes is plenty of time
- Ditch electronics and go outside to play!
- Have you ever wanted a small notebook? Well, I recommend Poo Poo Paper. It's 100% made of elephant poop, and it's scentless(It's gross, I know)!
- Put in fuller loads of laundry so you know you're not wasting water
- With gloves, search through local trash cans to find any cans or plastic bottles, and put them in the cans and plastic bottles recycling bin
- Do you have unwanted papers that you CERTAINLY don't need? Well, just recycle them
- If you're the artsy type and you use color pencils, just buy Crayola colored pencils. Look for the colored pencils that are made from reforested wood
- Reduce pollution by carpooling, taking the local bus, or riding a bike
- Instead of turning on the heat in the winter, wear a sweater
- If you have a lot of errands, then combine them so you don't waste gas
- Change your house's light bulbs with LED or CFL light bulbs
- Buy an electric car
- Rather than throwing your food in the trash can, compost instead
- Use solar cookers/food dehydrator
- Dry clothes on a hanging line instead of using a dryer
